Thank you Paul for sharing your thoughts and experience!
I was asking myself the same question recently what should come first - quantity or quality? You gave a brilliant answer!

I think this is an intresting post.
I write for my own blog jkg3.com and i also help lion wirte his. On lions blog, we try to update it very very often, however, on my blog i try to update it at least twice a month, when i think i have a good enough article to go up.
I try to keep to this schedule, but somtime, i may post more in one month, or i may post only one artilce. i try to make sure it is good.
On the other hand, lions blog is more about general life is is alor more to do with day to day things and it is written in far more often.
Hope thats useful...

Great post Paul - thanks.
This subject has been on mind for sometime as well. In fact, the exact scenarios you described are happening to me right now!
Trying to find a balance between time and quality of posts is difficult. I'm currently working on a site redesign, which should help. And I definitely like your suggestion to list the "types of posts" that could appear on my blog, from short to more detailed.
By the way, I have been going back in the iTunes archive and listening to several of your podcasts this week. They are a great source of info - keep up the good work.
Cheers,
Dennis
