		<description><![CDATA[&lt;p&gt;I thought this was what most people used stats for! Sure they are great for tracking marketing campaigns, but they are even better for optimising your own site.
We use a combination of Google Analytics to give a broad brush approach and help us identify any problems (btw Google custom search also brings you sites internal searches into Analytics). If we see an issue we usually use CrazyEgg to see what people are clicking on exactly. Then we may use clicktale to have an even closer look.
We have identified all sorts of issues including a poor product range that was confusing to our users, issues with our enquiry system, and I am currently investigating why people are clicking on what seems to be an unrelated link on a certain page. I have to say that I still haven&#039;t found why they are clicking on it, but it has given me the opportunity to insert and intermediate page to see if I can find out more.
Analytics are great! Only problem is they can suck up lots of time!&lt;/p&gt;
