I am worried that as a web design community we might not be giving our clients the best solution when it comes to mobile.

There is so much excitement about mobile, both within the web design community and among our clients, that we are rushing into mobile, without really thinking through what the client actually needs.

This has concerned me so much that myself and Rob Borley decided to write an article for Smashing Magazine. If you have a few minutes, please take the time to read it. I really believe we need to think twice before suggesting potentially expensive solutions to our clients.
