.net awards rundown

The estimated time to read this article is 2 minutes

Once again I was honoured to host this years .net awards and once again I was blown away at the quality of work being produced across the web design community.

For me who won in each category was somewhat irrelevant. Whether winners or runners up the stuff these guys are producing is truly awesome.

Some people get hung up on who wins and who doesn’t, but I think that is missing the point. For me these evenings are about celebrating the creativity, passion and skill that exists across the whole of the community.

The awards really are a tiny part of a crazy evening where people from around the world get to hook up and let their hair down (at least those who still have any.)

Me hosting the .net awards

Good on .net magazine for putting on this event and I am glad to be apart of it. I personally find it really rewarding to hand awards to people I have seen emerge from within the community to take their place as innovators. I particularly enjoy giving awards to new comers because I know they are the future of our industry.
