Wedding Anniversary

Posted in Random on: Wednesday, August 8, 2007 by Paul Boag

I have done two things right in my life. Marry my wife and do so on the easiest day to remember ever… 08/08/98

Today is my wedding anniversary. A lot has happened since we got married. Our lives have changed beyond recognition and so have we. Strange how I find myself loving her as much today as the day we got married even though we are both such different people now.

Cath's happy face

What more could a husband desire. What is more she is my friend too!

Wow, just came in to check the latest podcast after a long summer break and thought you had some weird personalisation stuff going on. Today is my wedding anniversary too. We got married on 8/8 1998. She let me choose the date so I would have no excuse when I forget…
Happy anniversary Paul! From a listener in Sweden who has just started his own podcast. In Swedish, mind you, so when I plagiarise your show you won’t have a clue ;)

    As Cliff sings:
    Congratulations and celebrations
when I tell everyone that you’re in love with me.
    Congratulations and jubilations
I want the world to know I’m happy as can be.
Who would believe that I could
    be happy and contented.
I used to think that happiness
    hadn’t been invented,
but that was in the bad old days
    before I met you
when I let you walk into my heart.
    Congratulations and celebrations
when I tell everyone that you’re in love with me.
    Congratulations and jubilations
I want the world to know I’m happy as can be.
    I was afraid that maybe
you thought you were above me.
That I was only fooling myself
    to think you’d love me.
    But then tonight you said
    you couldn’t live without me
    that round about me
    you wanted stay.
    Congratulations and celebrations
when I tell everyone that you’re in love with me.
    Congratulations and jubilations
I want the world to know I’m happy as can be

    Huzzah!
Our lives have changed beyond recognition and so have we.
Too true. It’s funny looking back; you thought you were adults when you married, but you had no idea. Growing up can be tough, and doing it together gracefully is to be celebrated.

  • Congratulations on your wedding anniversary!
By the way, love the shaved head. Trying to look like Jason Statham (or Dan Cederholm)?

  • Rik Barwick says:

Congrats! I am getting married next year to my childhood sweetheart, we starting seeing each other at school when i was 15, only took me 10 years to ask her to be my wife and i cant wait!

  • Diana says:
