Each year the brightest minds in the web industry assemble in Austin Texas at SXSW. Never ones to miss a chance to hang out with the cool kids, both myself and Marcus have also attended for the last coupe of years.

The panel at Boagworld Live

This year we thought we would record a live podcast while at the event. We begged a room from the lovely people at and bullied some web celebs into coming onto the show to answer questions.

For an hour our 4 guests answered all kinds of questions sent in by , submitted via chat and from the that attended.

The guests included…

Questions ranged from ‘if you were a web app which web app would you be’ to ‘when can we drop for ′. The debate was lively with lots of good humour and differences of opinion. With over 60 people there the atmosphere was great. Thanks so much to everybody who attended.

With 4 guests as well as myself and Marcus, we felt it was too much to ask of our transcribers to do the whole show. I therefore hope you understand the lack of transcript. If we can we will add one at a later date.

Thanks to Zeke Franco for the photograph

  • Lee Theobald says:

Still jealous that I couldn’t be there. Maybe next year.
Does anyone else think that Joe Stump could be Paul’s long lost twin from the picture at the start of the post?

  • I just started listening to your podcasts for the first time yesterday (#156 & #155) and I was hoping to see the new one this week. You guys are great! Keep up the good work!

  • Dan says:

    Yes! :D
I didn’t finish watching the live stream because of the audio fail but I’ve just finished listening to it now.
Not only was it a great episode with a fantastic panel but it was made extra awesome due to the fact that it was my horse joke that Marcus read out at the end :D
Keep up the great work fellas!

  • RSW says:

What a great panel full of excellent ideas!
    Paul,
What was the coolest new web app to be introduced at SXSW? I was hoping for some sort of recap in this podcast.

  • Scott says:

Great show! You should get those guys together more often . . . Awesome Pirate Day Google Bot Story from JK.

  • Anybody get this on video? One of those panels I would like to see interact via more-than-audio… Absolutely great show guys!
I can not wait to hear the next podcast too. =)

  • Following SXSW I have upset Paul by giving him the ultimate insult on Twitter, he started ending his Tweets with words like “hell yeh!”
His reply was “boagworld@microedge the ultimate insult – implying I have been Americanised! ;)”
I appologise (with an ’s’ not a ‘z’!, Welcome back to Blighty.
