boagworld.com survey

Posted in Podcast on: Saturday, October 8, 2005 by Paul Boag

Boagworld.com continues to grow at a scary rate and it is important to me that people get the most out of it. That is why I have put together a short survey, which I am asking people to complete.

Because of the growth in the site, I have started considering new features such as forums, chat events, and online/offline seminars. However, I am conscious that there are many other people out there doing similar things so I don’t want to start something if there just isn’t the demand.

If you read boagworld.com regularly or if you listen to our podcast, we would love to know what you think. The survey I have put together will take less than two minutes to complete and is completely anonymous.

Thank you to everybody that took the boagworld.com survey. Your feedback is appreciated and we are now considering the results.

  • To illustrate you how distracted I was when I started taking the survey; when your first start the survey, it has a progress bar that shows partially completed at 12%. I kept flipping back and forth between what I was working on and the survey waiting for the bar to get to 100%. Then I realized, it’s not loading a survey, it my current position in the survey.

  • Paul Boag says:

that or the survey had bad usability. Fortunately I didnt design the user interface so we can be as rude about it as we want lol

  • Jamie says:

    Survey taken =)
Glad to hear that the site is going well, Paul. Good work should be rewarded.

  • Bob says:

I tried the survey but it kept crashing out.
So i got bored and stopped. Maybe try hosting one on boagworld.
    Sorry, I tried.

  • Paul Boag says:

Thats strange Bob. Sorry to have wasted your time. Seems to be working for me okay. Ill have to keep an eye on it.

  • Anton says:

Done, and done! Usability aside, it was easy enough to tell where you were going with it.

  • Josh says:

Why not leave the survey up indefinitely so that it is gathering info on an ongoing basis?

  • Paul Boag says:

Because it was a free trial survey and I am too tight to pay for the real thing! Maybe I will make my own if I find time.
