A get a steady trickle of emails asking about the application of 'web 2.0.' How do the cool things we see on the trendy new generation of sites apply to the everyday web projects we are involved with?

I believe that almost any site can benefit from technologies such as AJAX and Javascript. These technologies and websites offer an improved user experience that can help even the most inexperienced of web user. In this video I show how the lessons learnt from the new generation of website can be applied even to the over 60s market where Internet experience is minimal.

The video is best viewed full screen. Click on the menu option and then on the icon in the top right of the video. Alternatively pop over to the Wiltshire Farm Foods website and try the quick order facility yourself.

    hiya,

okay, to start of with, the post was very nice, i really like your video include...

I also really liked the site, I think this is a very creative use of ajax and i would certainly be interested in reading more on it? perhaps a case study?

Would headscape be interested in releasing some of the code open source? Or as a devkit? I feel this would be Very useful to the community.

It looks great, and i look forward to seeing more like it!

Great video Paul. I guess this kind of attention to detail is what separates the men from the boys.

Agree with Jamie, open source would be great, though I doubt Headscape would want to do that.

it could help generate good publicity through kudos from the open source community...

I have no idea how much that would mean though.

    thanks for the video.

Its a nice idea Jamie but we couldn't do it even if we wanted to. Our contractual arrangement with our clients preclude it. Sorry.
