@Media 2008

I was excited to be asked to moderate a panel on ‘communicating best practice’ at this years @Media conference. You can now access both the slides and audio thanks to those lovely people at slideshare.

The estimated time to read this article is 2 minutes

The panel had a great line up including Rachel Andrew, Patrick Lauke and Murray Rowan. The exact subject we covered was described on the @Media site as follows…

We might all be convinced by the benefits of web standards, and the importance of usability and accessibility, but how can we best communicate the importance of best practices to others, be they clients or managers?

A panel of highly experienced web professionals from very different backgrounds share their experiences and offer suggestions for the best ways of tackling something that is a lot more difficult than it should be.

You can either download a PDF of the slides (18mb) or watch and listen to the slideshow here. If you want to download the audio that is available too. Finally, atranscript of the presentation is available on the @Media website.
