I have just written my first guest post for Internet Retailing. Its always nice to write for a new publication but this one is particularly rewarding because I felt I could bring a unique perspective to the table.
Like many internet retailing publications their focus is very much on driving traffic to ecommerce sites and very little on subjects like good UX design. I therefore wanted to prove that it is perfectly possible to increase profit without constantly attracting evermore users:
How much did you spend over the last year on customer acquisition? Most internet retailers spend sizeable amounts on SEO, PPC and other forms of online marketing. But what if you could reduce expenditure in this area, while still increasing the number and value of sales, as well as acquiring new customers?
If you run an ecommerce site then check out this post. It will be worth your time. You might also want to watch my presentation on increasing ecommerce sales.
