My friends at Dootrix are looking for an interface designer. As they are such a cool company and the job is perfect for a new graduate, I thought I would post it here.
At Dootrix we build awesome software apps that work across a large range of devices. We are the best at what we do, but we aren’t designers. We need your help to make our apps even better.
We need somebody who can design a slick user experience, whether on the latest iPhone or a Windows Mobile device. Somebody who understands the unique design challenges of different platforms.
We need somebody with an obsessional eye for detail. Somebody who is going to cringe when we get a pixel out of place. Somebody who can take our designs to the next level. Is that you?
We need somebody who is great at justifying their design decisions. Somebody who lives design best practice and is active in the design community. Somebody who is going to convince our clients of our design capabilities.
You will not only get to work on amazing apps for big names, you will also have the opportunity to shape the Dootrix brand. You will become the voice of Dootrix.
We are looking for fresh blood. Experience is a bonus, but enthusiasm, passion and creativity are everything. If you need training, we can arrange that. What we cannot teach is the right attitude and a willingness to get stuck in, even when things get tough.
Life at Dootrix
Dootrix is a small company, but with big clients and even bigger aspirations. We are an agile company. We work fast, as a tight collaborative team. That means you will need to work from our farm just outside of Portsmouth; in easy reach of Southampton and Winchester. If that means relocating we are happy to help for the right person. But, you will need the right to work in the UK.
We don’t work like other companies. We put our staff first and run ourselves in a democratic fashion. That means your opinion matters whether we are deciding how to approach a project or picking the charities we support.
If you join the Dootrix team you will have autonomy to get the job done, but that does mean you will be accountable for your own work. The buck will stop with you.
