Who has time to follow blogs like this one anymore? Gone are the days of religiously checking your RSS feeds to see which blogs have posted.

Today we mainly search for the answer to a specific question. But that doesn’t expose us to new tools, techniques, or best practices unless we actively look for them. As a result, it is easy to fall into a rut of doing things the same old way with the same old tools and eventually get left behind.

Good UX newsletters should address that gap. They should introduce you to topics that you might not search on yet are essential nonetheless. They should keep you current and inspire you to grow as a UX professional.

Regularly dropping into your inbox, a newsletter nudges you to prioritize learning and avoid your UX skills from atrophying.

So in this post, I want to share with you 10 newsletters to follow in UX from some of the best ux design blogs, starting, of course, with mine.

Product Psychology Newsletter

This product psychology newsletter is an excellent addition to the list from Nir Eyal, the author of Hooked.

Okay, so this one is not strictly a UX newsletter. Still, psychology, design, and behavioral science are critical components in creating an outstanding experience. So on that basis, this is an excellent addition to the list from Nir Eyal, the author of Hooked.

The UX collective has been publishing great articles about design thinking for some time now on Medium. But did you know they also have excellent UX newsletters too? If you haven’t read the UX collective before, they have a somewhat eclectic mix covering everything from brand design to UI and UX.

UX design weekly takes a slightly different approach to UX newsletters by curating the best user experience design links every week. That makes it an excellent selection if you are looking for a broader view of the latest posts from across the industry.

So Many UX Newsletters, So Little Time

It is so hard to find time to keep up with the latest best practice in our industry, and there is just no way anybody can read even a tiny fraction of the advice being posted every week.

With this kind of information overload, I seek out a small number of trusted sources. These are people I respect and who approach the discipline with a similar mindset to me. It took me a while to find them, but now I have subscribed to their UX newsletters, I only have to spend a few minutes a week scanning their emails to feel I know the subjects I need to pay attention to.

My recommendation is to subscribe to a few of the above UX newsletters and give them a couple of months. Then, if you like what they have to say, great, but if not, unsubscribe and move on to the next.
